Foundational Self-Study & Guided Learning Program

Emotions Awareness & Transformation™

Emotions Awareness & Transformation™ (EAT™) is the original, core methodology that makes emotional self-regulation intuitive, practical, and accessible for everyone.

Long before these tools were calibrated for high-stakes municipal leadership, the EAT™ framework was created to bridge body awareness, metaphor, and stress mechanics using clear, everyday language. By connecting physical sensations to practical mental tools, EAT™ helps individuals of all ages notice stress early, restore calm, and make thoughtful, grounded choices.

Embodied Emotions Mapping

Notice early physical stress signals in the body before feelings become overwhelming, using the 16-part Intensity-Complexity Grid™ found in Emotion Commotion to visually map your current emotional state.

The LDT™ Protocol

A gentle three-step process—Locate, Describe & Transform™—that interrupts automatic emotional reactions in real time to guide you back to clarity and self-possession.

The Metaphor Shift

Use intuitive mental imagery to lower emotional intensity quickly. Simple, memorable metaphors help ease stress reactions and return your mind to a balanced space.

I Know Me

Rhyming Stories for Emotional Awareness & Anti-Bullying

When I originally wrote I Know Me, I thought I was writing an anti-bullying book for children. Then something surprising happened: adults without kids started buying it for themselves.

As it turns out, we grown-ups are often exhausted by heavy self-help books, dense psychology, and clinical jargon. When stress hits, our nervous systems don’t want a lecture—they want clarity. The rhythmic stories and gentle metaphors in I Know Me bypass that adult overthinking, offering a quiet, disarming space to find your footing, reframe self-talk, and handle everyday friction. Whether you are reading it on your own at night or sharing it with someone young, it is a soft place to land.

Emotions Awareness & Transformation™

The Original LDT™ Protocol & Metaphor Guidebook

If I Know Me is the soft, rhythmic introduction to emotional self-awareness, this workbook is the practical, hands-on tool for living it. Built around a step-by-step exercise structure, it guides you directly through the core LDT™ Protocol (Locate, Describe & Transform™).

Each guided entry features an intuitive emotion chart to pinpoint both primary and secondary feelings, a body-skeleton map to physically locate where stress is sitting, and structured prompts to write out your own personal descriptions and transformations—supported by practical tips and tricks along the way.

Emotion Commotion

Get on Track in 3 Simple Steps with The EAT Program™

If I Know Me offers the disarming rhythmic approach, and the workbook provides the hands-on practice sheets, Emotion Commotion is the foundational guide behind the entire methodology.

Grounded in neuroscience, embodied emotion research, and metaphor, this core text breaks down the full 3-step LDT™ Protocol (Locate, Describe & Transform™). It provides the complete roadmap for understanding how stress plays out in the body, decoding the language of your natural metaphors, and using the 16-part Intensity-Complexity Grid™ to move out of reactivity and back into balance.

BEHIND THE METHODOLOGY

About Karen Lee Morton MA

I spent decades designing conflict resolution, human rights, and communication programs. But over time—and after watching the endless cycle of workplace friction, social stress, and bullying—I realized we needed to go back to basics.

Almost all difficult behaviour stems from unaddressed negative emotions. The trouble is, when stress hits, most of us try to overthink our way through it, or we get lost in heavy psychological jargon.

I created The EAT Program™ (Emotions Awareness & Transformation™) to give people a disarming, practical way back to balance. By combining grounded neuroscience with our natural use of metaphor and physical body signals, EAT™ helps you notice stress early, quiet the noise, and find your footing—whether you’re navigating a tough day at work, having a conversation around the dinner table, or simply unwinding at night.
